Meet Roozbeh

Roozbeh and his wife have been involved in Richmond Hill for over ten years, learning about the challenges facing their neighbours and the community, while also celebrating its vibrancy.
Immigrating from Iran to Toronto at a young age with his parents and siblings, Roozbeh has been working hard to make the most of the opportunities provided to him. Vowing to give back to the country that has given him so much, Roozbeh has spent his adult life helping those who need a hand.
An active Liberal supporter for over 15 years, he first volunteered during the 1999 election. This is when he discovered his passion for politics and the rewards of being a grassroots organizer. He has volunteered on every campaign ever since at the provincial and federal level, and has served as both CFO and President of his local riding association.

A proud community organizer and volunteer
Roozbeh has a passion to give back to the community. He has served on several boards, including the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation and the Iranian Professional Bankers Association.
A proud Zoroastrian, he has been active on the board of the Zoroastrian Society of Ontario and the Iranian Cultural Kanun.
Roozbeh was also a reservist for the Canadian Armed Forces for three years.
Co-Founded Hearts For Hunger
Roozbeh has also co-founded Hearts for Hunger, an annual event on Valentine’s Day designed to help deliver hot meals to those who need it most. To date, they have distributed over 700 meals.
Helping New Immigrants
Focused on helping new immigrants and youth adjust to a new country, Roozbeh has set up professional organizations and volunteered across the community. Respect for our seniors is also close to his heart, and he is committed to ensuring they have access to the care they need, in their own language.

Over the past 15 years, Roozbeh has worked at two of Canada’s leading banks, RBC and Scotiabank. Currently, he is a Small Business Development Manager in Scotiabank’s largest district, Toronto Centre. He leads a team of Small Business Advisors, supporting small businesses succeed. Roozbeh holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from York University.
